Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
Lockeroom ("Lockeroom," "we," "us," or "our") makes a mobile application that connects strength and fitness coaches with their athletes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Lockeroom you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details: your name and email address when you sign up.
- Group and roster data: the groups you create or join, your role (coach or athlete), and join codes.
- Training data: programs, prescribed workouts, logged sessions, sets, reps, weights, RPE, cardio and treadmill metrics, bodyweight entries, sleep and session ratings, and any notes or progress photos you choose to add.
- Communications: announcements, replies, and likes you post within a group.
- Check-ins: responses you submit to a coach's check-in request: wellness ratings, bodyweight, an optional photo, a written note, and a summary of that week's training.
- Voice replies: a coach can record a spoken reply to an athlete's check-in using the device microphone. The recording is transcribed on the coach's device (audio is not sent to a transcription service), and the recording and its transcript are stored so the athlete can listen or read. Nothing is recorded unless the coach starts a recording.
- Scheduling: in-person session details such as date, time, and location.
Information collected automatically
- Device tokens: if you enable push notifications, we store a push token to deliver them.
- Basic technical data: limited information needed to operate the service, such as authentication timestamps.
- Subscription status: if you subscribe to a coach plan, we receive whether your subscription is active and which tier, through Apple and RevenueCat. We never receive your full payment card details.
Lockeroom does not include third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the core service: authentication, groups, programming, logging, progress tracking, leaderboards, announcements, check-ins, and scheduling.
- To generate AI-assisted coaching analysis from an athlete's training data, and to convert program text a coach chooses to import into a structured training program, using a third-party AI provider.
- To send push notifications you've opted into (new programs, session reminders, announcements, and replies).
- To process and manage coach subscriptions, free trials, and plan entitlements.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and operate and improve the app.
3. Who can see your data
Access is enforced at the database level. Athletes can only see their own training data. Coaches can only see athletes within groups they belong to. Group members can see shared content such as announcements and leaderboards within that group. We do not sell your personal information.
A coach can export or share an athlete's progress photos and progress-comparison images outside the app, for example to share a client's results. Only add progress photos you are comfortable with your coach sharing, and speak with your coach if you would prefer they not be shared.
Check-in responses, including any photo or note you attach, are visible only to you and the coaches of that group. A coach's voice replies and their transcripts are visible only to that coach and the athlete whose check-in they answer.
4. Service providers
We rely on a small number of vendors to run Lockeroom:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and storage hosting.
- Anthropic: processes athlete training data to generate AI coaching analysis, and program text a coach chooses to import so it can be converted into a structured program. Data is sent only to produce the requested result and is not used to train its models.
- RevenueCat: manages subscription purchases, free trials, entitlements, and receipt validation. It receives your account identifier and subscription status, not your payment card details.
- Expo: delivers push notifications and app updates.
- Apple: app distribution and in-app subscription billing via the App Store.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → account settings), which removes your personal data and associated training records. If you own a group, you may need to transfer or delete it first. To request deletion another way, email lockeroomcoachapp@gmail.com.
6. Children's privacy
Lockeroom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by contacting us at lockeroomcoachapp@gmail.com.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections and row-level access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
